The scrybes all dislike Magnificus because he isn't afraid to speak up to the player about the true meaning of Inscryption, and what is truly going on. The reason the mechanic says that his ambition is too terrible to consider is because it leaves the digital world and becomes REAL, as P03's was, but P03 is digital, so he would have more ambition for more technological things, instead of trying to escape. This is probably because of his eyes,as they resemble all seeing in Inscryption, as you can see things not typically seen when you put in his eye after taking out your's. The other scrybes cannot see past their own desires, while Magnificus has never been proven to get ahold of the OLD_DATA (as Leshy did with the fisherman, and P03 with the dredger), he still knows what is on it. Magnificus wants freedom, from the game entirely. ![]()
